review 1: This book was a pretty good read. It tends to be a little silly in places--because of this I found it hard to suspend my disbelief in the story--but it turned out to be a good book. This book examines the concepts of prophecy, destiny, luck, and what it means to be a hero. For these principles, as well as some interesting characters and the fact that it was short made it worthwhile read to me. I'm not sure if I will continue reading the series, but I think I might in time.
review 2: I wondered if I'd give up, mostly due to some of the cringeworthy names and dialogue. Wiccan Woods? Shrieking Shrubs? I know this is aimed at a segment that I haven't belonged to in many years, but I've read far more polished books for that same bracket. The story was more or less e
